Ordering

How do I get a quote?

Call or text (929) 466-1426 with your R-value, batt width, quantity or square footage, zip code, and delivery date. We respond the same business day with a firm quote and confirmed delivery window. You can also submit online at prestigeinsulationco.com/request-quote.html.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No minimum. You can order 5 bags or 500 bags — we quote any quantity. Larger orders typically earn better per-unit pricing.

How quickly do you respond to quote requests?

Same business day — typically within the hour for calls or texts. Online form submissions are responded to by end of business day.

Can I order for multiple job sites at once?

Yes. We regularly handle multi-site orders for contractors running parallel projects. Include each delivery address and timeline in your quote and we'll coordinate delivery for each.

Do I need an account or contract to order?

No. No account setup, no contract, no credit application. Just call with your order details and we quote it on the spot.

What information do you need for a quote?

R-value, batt width (15" for 16" OC framing, 23" for 24" OC), quantity in bags or square footage, zip code, and your target delivery date. That's it.

Can I change my order after confirming?

Yes, if you catch us before the order ships. Call (929) 466-1426 as early as possible. Once an order has left the warehouse, all sales are final.

Do you work with homeowners, or only contractors?

Both. We supply contractors, builders, property managers, and homeowners doing their own work. If you need insulation delivered, we can quote it.

Delivery

How fast can you deliver?

Next business day on stocked product for orders placed before 3pm EST. Rush delivery can sometimes be arranged — call to discuss.

Do you deliver to all 50 states?

Yes. We deliver nationwide. Delivery timing and freight costs vary by location — confirm when you request your quote.

Do you deliver to job sites?

Yes. We deliver to job sites, warehouses, distribution centers, and residential addresses. Let us know any site access requirements — gate codes, contact names, unloading equipment — when you order.

How are materials packaged for delivery?

Batts arrive in manufacturer bags on pallets or as loose bags depending on quantity. We coordinate the delivery format with you before it ships.

What if the delivery address isn't accessible?

Tell us about any access restrictions when you order — narrow roads, weight limits, loading dock requirements. We'll plan the delivery accordingly.

Can you hold an order for a future delivery date?

Yes. If your job site isn't ready, we can stage the delivery for a specific date. Just confirm the target date when you request your quote.

Payment

Do I have to pay upfront?

No. We deliver first, you inspect the order, then you pay. No deposit, no upfront payment, no credit card required. See our Pay at Delivery page for the full details.

What payment methods do you accept?

Zelle, Venmo, and check. Payment is collected after delivery and inspection — never before.

Do you accept credit cards?

We currently accept Zelle, Venmo, and check. No credit card processing. These methods are fast, free of fees, and easy to use from your phone on the job site.

What happens if there's a problem with my order?

Inspect the order before you pay. If bag counts are off or the product doesn't match the invoice, call us immediately — we resolve it before payment. That's the whole point of pay at delivery.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The invoice we send is the total you pay on delivery. No surprise add-ons, no processing fees.

Products

What R-values do you stock?

Fiberglass: R-11, R-13, R-15 HD, R-19, R-21 HD, R-30, R-38, R-49. Mineral wool: R-15 (AFB/SAFB), R-23, R-30. Call to confirm current availability on specific products.

What's the difference between R-13 and R-15?

Both fit a 2×4 wall cavity. R-15 is a high-density batt with 15% better thermal resistance. Zone 4+ energy codes require R-15 minimum for 2×4 exterior walls. R-13 is code-compliant in zones 1–3.

What's the difference between R-19 and R-21?

Both fit a 2×6 wall cavity. R-21 is a high-density batt — slightly thinner but denser than R-19, with about 10% better thermal performance. R-21 is the dominant spec for 2×6 exterior walls in zone 4+ markets.

Do you carry mineral wool?

Yes. We stock mineral wool AFB (Acoustical Fire Batts) and SAFB (Sound Attenuation Fire Batts) for fire-rated and high-STC assemblies. Mineral wool is non-combustible and required for most IBC party walls and fire-rated corridors.

When do I need mineral wool instead of fiberglass?

Use mineral wool when the assembly requires non-combustibility (IBC fire-rated party walls, hotel corridors), high STC performance (apartments, hotels), or moisture resistance (below-grade, high-humidity applications). For most exterior walls, attics, and floors, fiberglass is appropriate.

What facing options do you offer?

Kraft-faced (vapor retarder on one side), unfaced, and FSK (foil scrim kraft) for radiant barriers. Kraft-faced is standard for exterior walls; unfaced is typical for interior partitions and some hot-humid assemblies.

Do you carry attic insulation?

Yes. R-30, R-38, and R-49 batts for attic floor applications. The right R-value depends on your climate zone — zone 1–2 requires R-30, zones 3–4 require R-38, and zones 5–8 require R-49.

Technical / Code

What R-value do I need for my climate zone?

Zone 1–2: R-13 walls, R-30 attic. Zone 3: R-13 walls, R-30–R-38 attic. Zone 4: R-15 walls, R-38–R-49 attic. Zone 5: R-20–R-21 walls, R-49 attic. Zones 6–8: R-21+ walls, R-49–R-60 attic. Our climate zone guide has the full breakdown.

How do I calculate how many bags I need?

Divide your square footage by the coverage per bag (listed on the product). Add 10% for waste. Our free insulation calculator at prestigeinsulationco.com/calculator.html does this automatically for any R-value.

What's the difference between fiberglass and mineral wool?

Fiberglass is more cost-effective and handles most residential and commercial applications. Mineral wool is non-combustible, provides better sound attenuation (STC), and is hydrophobic. Mineral wool is required for IBC fire-rated assemblies. For most exterior walls and attics, fiberglass is appropriate.

What insulation do I need for a 2×4 wall?

R-13 (zones 1–3) or R-15 HD (zones 4–8). Both fit a standard 2×4 stud bay. If sound control matters, consider mineral wool AFB.

What insulation do I need for a 2×6 wall?

R-19 or R-21 HD. R-21 HD offers better thermal performance in the same cavity depth. Most zone 4+ energy codes require R-20 minimum, making R-21 the standard choice.

Do I need vapor barrier with my insulation?

It depends on climate zone and assembly type. In cold climates (zones 5–8), a Class II vapor retarder is typically required on the warm-in-winter side. In hot-humid zones (1–3A), vapor retarders on the interior can trap moisture — unfaced batts are often preferred. Confirm with your local building inspector.
