How to Order Insulation Wholesale: Step-by-Step for Contractors

Ordering wholesale insulation isn't complicated — but it's different from walking into a hardware store. Here's exactly how it works, what you need to know before you call, and what to expect on delivery day.

What you need before you call

You don't need an account, a contract, or any paperwork. You need four things: the R-value you're ordering, the batt width (15" for 16" OC framing, 23" for 24" OC), the quantity (bags or square footage), and your zip code and delivery date. That's the whole list. If you have the R-value and approximate square footage, we can help you figure out quantity — that's what our calculator is for.

Step 1: Calculate your quantity

Measure the square footage of the assembly you're insulating — wall area, attic floor area, or floor area. Don't subtract for windows and doors on the first pass; a 10% overage is normal and you'll use the extras. Use our bag calculator to convert square footage to bags for any R-value. Coverage per bag varies by product and manufacturer — typically 40–75 sq ft for walls and 40–65 sq ft for attic products.

Step 2: Call or text your order

Call or text (929) 466-1426 with: R-value, batt width, number of bags, zip code, and delivery date. If you're not sure on quantity, give us the square footage and we'll confirm the bag count. We respond the same business day — typically within the hour.

Step 3: Receive and review your invoice

We confirm stock availability and send you a firm invoice with the delivery window. Review it for: correct R-value, correct batt width, correct bag count, and delivery date. If anything looks off, call us before delivery — changes are easy to make before the order ships.

Step 4: Delivery to your job site

We deliver next business day on stocked product. Delivery goes to the address on your order — job site, warehouse, or residential address. Stack location matters: let us know if the delivery needs to go to a specific floor or area of the site.

Step 5: Inspect and pay

When the order arrives, count the bags against the invoice. Check that you received the right product (R-value, width, facing). If everything matches — pay via Zelle, Venmo, or check. If there's a discrepancy, call us before paying. How pay at delivery works →

Tips for repeat orders

If you're a contractor placing orders regularly, let us know your typical product mix. We can flag when a product you use is on backorder before it affects your schedule, and note your preferred products for faster quoting on future orders.
